  1. If you just used the Kalyway like the guide says, you wouldn't have to ask here why all 4 cores aren't working
  2. freakds, some people should just buy a Mac.
  3. Good job trying to hijack this thread with yours, which was mostly taken from mine... with poor Engrish at that.
  4. All of this was answered in the original post and in the post above this one. I am all about helping people that at least TRY to help themselves. I didn't write the guide for nothing.
  5. New instructions to update from 10.5.2 directly to 10.5.5 have been added to the guide! Here are the old instructions for updating from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 (for archiving purposes): 7. How to update to 10.5.3: Download here: http://insanelymac.blogspot.com/2008/08/ho...52-to-1053.html The instructions are correct, but to clarify: 1. Install the Comboupdate, but DON'T CLICK RESTART AT THE END! 2. Install kalyway kernel pkg (2nd file) 3. IMPORTANT: Reboot and at boot press F8 key and type "update -v" then hit enter. It will reboot again, then let it boot like normal. How to update from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4(must update to .3 first): Simply download and install the Delta update (88mb), not the Combo update: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1054update.html
  6. Read the thread, it answers everything you PMed me about.
  7. I can tell you that if you just follow the guide here instead that it will work. Haven't messed with 10.5.5 yet though.
  8. OSX86 on Intel P45 chipset?

Had you previously tried installing on older BIOS version without BiosMod? I just wonder if it's the new BIOS version that made it work somehow, I'll have to give it a try. Are both cores showing up in OSX? Check out the guide in my sig, see if that helps with some of your Q's.
  9. If I try to boot OSX in AHCI mode I just get a crash at the Apple logo, can't boot. That has been what everyone else said also. Interesting that yours works, not sure how. UPDATE: Fixed the orange drives issue, added to the tut.
  10. Kalyway 10.5.2, added that to the tutorial.
  11. I see the link was not directly to the post with the audio file, it's fixed now. Do you have a P5Q Pro also? Tell us what settings you used to get Jas installed, it will help others as well.
  12. I used the kext at the link in the guide there and audio works fine. EDIT: I see now the link was not directly to the post, it's fixed now.
  13. All 4 cores work with this guide, dunno what your 2nd sentence means.
  14. OSX86 on Intel P45 chipset?

    OOPS! Good point, fixed. Thanks.
  15. OSX86 on Intel P45 chipset?

I finally got everything up and running, and I posted a tutorial that would have helped me as a total Mac n00b: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=124693 I hope it helps others as well.
