hattster
Hi, my problem is that my usb ports aren't workig properly and I believe that is because the kernel version and kext versions are mismatched, 9.2 and 9.2.2. How would I go about making these the same to fix my problem thanks. westwaerts
no thats not your problem 1. disable legacy support in bios and/or 2. generic usb driver from this forum but without your system specs its more a guess, than a hint. coolied
no thats not your problem It VERY WELL COULD be the problem. Mismatched kernel/system.kext is a VERY common cause of dysfunctional USB ports. hattster
I have installed generic usb driver and most things work like mouse, keyboard, printer. However storage devices like ipods/iphones, pen drives and external hard drives do not. I have been reading a lot in these forums and everyone who has had this problem had a different kext/kernel version. Just nobody went on to explain how they fixed that issue.
