de_goeiste
boot with -x it's the radeon kext panicking. if you are able to enter osx with -x remove the ati kexts I had the same error. Its correct that when you boot with -x it works. With osx 10.4.3 I don't have these kernel panics. So are there changes in de ati kext files between 10.4.3 and 10.4.5? Is it possible to copy the ati kext files from 10.4.3 to 10.4.5? Without the ati kext I can't make use of QE. I have a ati radeon 9550 256mb. de_goeiste
I have deleted the ati kext files and he is now fully booting. In 10.4.3 QE was working bij editing the atiradeon9700.kext and add the id number of my radeon 9550 card. I was wondering if somebody could send me the ati kext files from 10.4.3 so i can test if this works. Send it to de_goeiste60@hotmail.com It would be great because now safari crashes sometimes when there is flash in a website, and i want to play movies on my osx86. de_goeiste
For my it's fixed. I have a ati-radeon 9550 256 mb. You can flash the bios of this card to a ati-radeon-9600-pro.I installed Macosx 1.4.5 without any kernel panic error. And my card is automatic detected and has QE support. Offsprung
This system almost matched mine exactly. Mine is perl3gb and 9600xt. Had exactly the same panic. So I used apple logic and downgraded the vid to a radeon7200 and voila got the install to load. Install hasn't finished but so far this kaly seems to rock. That tiger image that makes a 250gb hard drive permanently 6gb was ridiculous. What I still cannot understand is the logic I am starting to see. A friend at work followed these osx86 hardware compats and bought $2-3k of hardware for his hackintosh and looking around on these boards and considering the drivers added to kalys iso (hd2600?) what is the logic? If you are going to spend/allocate $3k worth of hardware why not buy a real mac? But in my case an older sse3 worth about 200 bucks but should be a decent hackintosh...just makes me say HMMMMM.
