hi, just try intall osx86 10.4.4 (from torrent) on my laptop (FS Amilo 1437G, cpu p4 m 730 have only sse2 and pae) and after waitnig some boot dev and other stuff, have strange panic...

but when i intall on desktop (p4 with same flags (only sse2 and pae)) all works well

do you have any clues about this ?

p.s. sorry for poor english.

my laptop have:

north bridge on i915GM/PM

south bridge on ICH6-M

also i attach panic screenshot

that looks somewhat similar to the panic someone else posted about.

I'm also having a problem installing but noone has responded to me yet..

2 dponmac: this is different problem on different stage of kernel working.

look, in my case, i'm not shure may be problem with my FPU... this is something about floating point unit i guess.. ),

but in your post kernel already load and probe some hadrware (this list of IO.. dependency)

Same problem, same Fujitsu-Siemens.

Installed OSX via VMware2native method to a partition and I can run it in Vmware perfectly. But if I try to boot that configuration natively, kernel panics with the exact same problem. Searching in the wiki I could not find any specific incomatible hardware. Maybe someone around here can interpret the panic an tell us how to work around.

I am attaching one more image of the problem.

I also got a Fujitsu Siemens Amillo 1437G

Exactly the same problem native doesn't work!

but vmware works fine!

i use the latest dvd with all the maxus patches version 10.4.5.

Anyone found an solution??

looking at ss looks like the panic comes out from the ApplePs2 kext, there isn't a solution because that kext is unsupported and neglected from apple. The only way would be remove the kext but you'll prolly loose keyboard and mouse too. A sucky situation

Well i didn't code that kext and i've no freaking idea how it can can cause that error :( but the panic points at that kext as the culprit. How to remove it ? Prolly booting in vmware is the only way because i guess you have the same panic booting from the dvd or booting with -x

jup it only works in vmware, but i hate vmware it's very slow :(

i want it to work native..

but thats the most weird thing that vmware works and native not :S

try removing that kext in vmware and then try booting in native but you need an usb mouse/keyboard

i succesfully installed it on my laptop with VMware.

Then i created dual boot with chain0

then i tried booting it, no succes... same error

then i deleted the ps2controller kext and rebooted my pc

and tried booting in native mode but still no succes, i need to find my camera but the error codes are the same as before only there is no error about the ps2.

i don't have my camera in reach so i cant post a screenie...

i will make a photo of it this afternoon

i'm at school at the moment so i cant screenshot it because it only gives the error in native.

in vmware i cant use my mouse (usb mouse)

now i need to find a way to put the appleps2controller kext back :D

i found a program macdrive, i will have a look at it in a few hours, dont have any time at the moment

I hope we can fix this problem :)

you can boot from the dvd launch a terminal and try copying it back from the terminal

That wont work, because the cd crashes as well. Only way is to have a second partition with a clean "in vmware working" osx, that you can access the other OSx that you are manipulating.

So far, 10.4.3 and 10.4.5 are not booting native without USB Harddisk. As I pointed out in my thread about amilo x43x, the VT6421 that the SATA disk is connected on is not working with manipulating of the AppleVIAATA.kext. So far I found no reason for that. But I read of someone having to enter a different deviceid from what windows told him (besides all other tools) into a kext to make his w-lan work.

If someone could get the SATA to work, we could run 10.4.3 without problems. 10.4.5 we need a new ps2contoller kext for. Even when the kext is removed, system works, but one keystroke will produce a kernel fault and system hangs. So there might be something else that causes the error and ps2 kext is only mentioned in the kernel panic, because it was acting in that moment. If were asked, I would say its something around the A20 gate. Maybe its in fast or turbo mode in our laptops and the kext is only working when A20 is in normal mode.

But its just guessing. My amilo is at the service at the moment, so I cannot continue testing for several weeks propably. :2cents:

if the 10.4.3 has the good ps2 kext maybe we can use the same kext in 10.4.5.

but the problem is i'm not familiar with such things like editing kexts and device id's.

So maybe if you have any idea that can fix it, you can tell me and i will do it ;)

and our bios is a bit :censored2:

because we only got a few options to set and i hate that!

maybe we need to hack that bios to see some other options that is needed :D:angel:

but if anyone might know a little solution, i'm willing to test it (A)

Yes, you could have both 10.4.3 and 10.4.5 installed via vmware and copy the ps2kext from 10.4.3 over the one from 10.4.5. The procedure what to do after that is reparing the permissions and delete the Extensions.mkext and Extensions.kextcache (and maybe rebulid it via kextcache)

Currently I have made a call at Fujitsu-Siemens to provide me a bios with hidden features opened. But I am sure they wont give me that.
