wildchild
Hey everyone, I am currently running the iDeneb 10.5.4 release as it is the most stable release I have experienced thus far. So far, I have had no problem updating any software using the OS's 'Software Update' function. However, when I tried to update Office:Mac 2008 or install my Samsung printer's drivers (which use a Vise X installer), I get an error that looks like this: I have tried reinstalling the OS, repair disk permissions and others but nothing seems to work. I have asked others and they all are having a similar issue. I have googled it, gone through the official Apple support sites but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? JeanLuc7
Hi, I ran into the same problem with a Samsung photo printer. insanelymac seems to offline now. Do you remember what the solution was? JL EDIT: Found the solution myself: One of the files in the directory /System/Library/CFMSupport seems to be corrupt. I compared the behaviour with that of another Mac (same OS version) where everything worked. Solution: I deleted /System/Library/CFMSupport and copied the working version from the other Mac. Remember to repair permissions after that. Both were Hacks :-) JL Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122680-error-installingupdating-3rd-party-software-with-ideneb-1054/#findComment-1052803 Share on other sites
