black_murtagh
Hi Everyone, Quick question here, I have two computers, both with Pentium 4 2.8ghz processors. Wil these work with osx86 leopard? The do support ss3 but I am under the impression that you need a core duo or core 2 duo chip to make it work Thanks in advance. LOLmoe
Yes, your PT4 I believe is probably Prescott. It will support SSE2, and SSE3 (i think, but SSE2 def). Don't install mac unless you have a compatible video, audio, and network hardware. it's a waste of time. Mebster
I'm running 10.5.3 on my P4 3.4Ghz processor. So the processor isn't the problem as it supports SSE3. But you need to download something like Everest and identify what your other components. Then you need to take a few days and search the Wiki and use the forum Search but sometimes using Google to search this site provides more results. Good Luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122511-leopard-on-p4/#findComment-866869 Share on other sites
