TootsieJoe
Hi All, I've just got a new Centrino 2 base Asus M70 VM-X1 notebook and I have been trying to install OS X 10.5 onto it with no avail. The problem is that the install disk would not even boot into the installation screen. I've tried almost all the different installation disk with the same result. Here is what I've tried so far: iAtkos all versions: get stuck on: Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. Kalyway 10.5.2: gets stuck on: Darwin Kernel Version 9.2.0 : Sun Mar 2 00:11:08 SCT 2008; made by ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 Kalyway 10.5.1: reboots before reaching the grey Apple splash screen. Any suggestions? The specs for this notebook are: T9400 2.53 GHz CPU 4 Gb DDR2 800 nVidia GeForce 9600M GS 512Mb Realtek RTL8168 NIC Atheros AR928x A/B/G/N wireless Network Adapter PM45 Northbridge with ICH9M-E 2X Western Digital WD3200BEVT HDD Realtek High Definition Audio Bluetooth 2.0 EDR adapter Thank you for your help. TootsieJoe
I tried the iDeneb 1.3 and also got stuck at the grey apple screen. Well, at least it installed, unlike the other distributions. Carlos, please share with us how you got it to work in safe mode. Thanks.
