parkie
Can't seem to get this combination to work, I was hoping to try some music making mac style but the drivers don't work. Is it because they haven't written drivers for the Intel macs yet? The drivers I used were for 10.4.4. Is it likely that it will work in the future when M-audio starts supporting the Intel version? cheers p Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12230-m-audio-audiophile-2496-and-1045/ Share on other sites
swag01
I have the Delta 410 and same issue. To see what would happen, I installed the powerpc drivers and they didn't work. Until Apple comes out with a desktop machine, I don't see any drivers available. The only people asking for the drivers are like us and of course, they aren't going to support it. Your only other option are usb or firewire sound cards. Yossarian
Considering M-Audio is now owned by Digidesign / Avid, you're going to have to wait some time. They are notoriously slow to release new drivers for anything. (I'm waiting right there with you) Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12230-m-audio-audiophile-2496-and-1045/#findComment-77013 Share on other sites
henchman
Why do people think that installing a specialized interface on a Mac is any different that installing it on a PC? If you look at the driver section for M-audio, you'll see that they have a new driver for pretty much ever version of OSX. So, it stands to reason that you'll need a special driver for OSX86, right? tobster
there is no INTEL-Mac Driver available for Delta Series, cause there is no need for m-audio right now. (no power-intel-mac yet) As long this is not the case there wont be a driver and i even think that there wont be a driver ever, cause if a power-intel-mac gets released it wont support any old pci cards. (only pci-e) The only chance: if m-audio releases any pci-e solution with delta architecture then perhaps.... but until then: not worth to try anything more with those cards. get a FW interface. these are the only ones running. greets tobster Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12230-m-audio-audiophile-2496-and-1045/#findComment-77320 Share on other sites
