Alright. I had just updated my Leo from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 using Zephyroths AMD software update(ASU)... I had fixed the graphics and audio drivers, and everything was working perfectly.  :thumbsdown_anim:

Since things were going so well, I decided, what the heck, I'll just run the rest of the updates in the ASU: Airport update, security update and Pro applications update...  -_-

Now I can't startup OSX!

I can run single user mode, and have tried a lot of small attempts to fix this, but now I really do not have more ideas...

My boot stops on this line:

"SystemStarter[23]: lstat("/Library/StartupItems/startupparameters.plist/startupparameters.plist"):Not a directory"

Can ANYONE here please lend me a helping hand?  :)

sounds like you need to repatch your kext files and maybe more

Thank you for your reply...

Repatch the kexts? Yeah, well, I am not quite sure what you are suggesting...

I have re-installed the 9.4.0 kernel and system.kext, which were working perfectly before I did this last update(security update, airport update and pro applications support update).

I assume the problem was with the airport update, or perhaps the security update.

The update was done with the AMD Software Update, so I assume the cpuids were automatically patched.

I have of course backed up all the kexts before I did this last update... any suggestions which kexts I should reinstall?

I only get into single-user mode now... not even safe-mode is working.

I appreciate any help or suggestions here... :)
