jimmypop
Hey guys! i know, the audio question has been around for a long time, but i really dont get it. I am a new mac user and new here also. my comp: OSX 10.5.1 and i have to start with the parameter -x. I have the ASUS M2N SLI DELUXE Motherboard and the onboard sound just doesnt work.. with none of the Azalia installers or Apple HDA nor Taruga AD1988 or something. The profiler says, theres no audio device. so i bought the Digitus DA-70770 USB sound stick, which is supposed to be fully mac os x compatible. i plugged it in.. nothing happened. on system profiler. i found the USB AUDIO DEVICE, but it doesnt show up in audio section. i tried the usb kexts and soundblaser usb things, but they dont work either.. eveything works fine except for this.. and the graphics card changes the resolution on every start. i have the ATI HD2600 pro with the drivers. so has anybody a solution for me.?? I, and im sure many others, would be very appreciated! greetings from austria Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122171-asus-m2n-sli-deluxe-no-audio/ Share on other sites

enochpc
Thought I would point out, if you are booting with -x, then no audio drivers are loaded, as it is safe mode an loads only necessary drivers. You need to find what is causing the error when you boot normally and address that before you can fix audio.
