bearcat20
i think i may be needing a bigger drive for a second OS, the installation guides on the wiki page shows multi boots on the same hard drive, but what if you have two hard drives for two different OS ( windows xp and kalyway 10.5.1), is this possible? i haven't yet seen a guide that discusses this kind of configuration. does anyone know how to do it? is it even possible? PGHammer
i think i may be needing a bigger drive for a second OS, the installation guides on the wiki page shows multi boots on the same hard drive, but what if you have two hard drives for two different OS ( windows xp and kalyway 10.5.1), is this possible? i haven't yet seen a guide that discusses this kind of configuration. does anyone know how to do it? is it even possible? I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible. I have two hard drives, one of which is iDeneb 10.5.4 (WD Caviar SE PATA 80 GB), while the other is split between Vista and openSuSE 11 (Maxtor DiamondMax 200 GB SATA). I use F8 in the BIOS to switch between them. Once I am able to upgrade the hardware, I'll be doing a similar triple with larger drives/partitions (WD Caviar 500 GB SATA split between Vista x64 and openSuSE 11 x64, while the Maxtor will be all iDeneb 10.5.4). Current setup: ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe Intel P4 2.6 HT (Northwood-C SSE2) 2 GB DDR400 SDRAM ATI Radeon X1650PRO AGP onboard AC97 2.1 audio Target setup: Biostar TP43DA2-A7 Intel C2Q6600 (G0, of course!) 4 GB DDR2-800 SDRAM (2 GB x 2) Visiontek HD4850 PCIe graphics PCP&C Silencer 500 ATX/EPS PSU onboard Azalia 2.1 audio Optical drives will not change. HD4850 is currently not supported by Leopard (however, I'm aware this is being worked on). Rather amazingly, the entire parts manifest will be bought retail, and costs sub-$800 (including local taxes).
