Nick Monticello
I have a dual boot system with windows XP and Mac OS X 10.4.5 fully operational on my Dell 9200, except for the fact I can not get my broadcom 440x network card to even be found. I searched the forums and found that I need to overwrite the IONetworkingFamily.kext from the one from 10.4.3, but this did not help. Am I missing a step with adding the .kext? Please let me know what I can do, if I can do anything. Thank You
Nick Monticello
Problem solved! It was due to the thing that XP writes to the card, so it turns off or something like that. It works great! I am so happy about this whole OS X and XP and the laptop!

Nick Monticello
There was a post somewhere on this forum, talking about how when you shutdown windows XP it writes some info to the card and makes it so it will not turn on at boot, or something like that. What I did to fix this was to make my boot options (in the bios) want to boot to the network first. That way the card is always on when I load Mac OS. Also, I am running native.
