Andale The Great
I wanna create a media pc and I'm trying to get opinions on several forums. I would like to put iAtkos 4.0i (or similar) on my pc and either set it up to be a media center or find a front-end program for Leopard. Any thoughts? Would it be easier to just use either WinXP MCE or Linux? AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (2.083Ghz) 2 Gigs Ram (ddr333) 10/100 ethernet onboard onboard audio BFG Tech nVidia (love it!) 7800 GS OC hard drive space = plenty Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120796-mac-osx86-as-a-media-pc/ Share on other sites

InDashMP3
I would suggest looking at MicroXP and XBMC.... XBMC is ported to Windows / Mac / Linux, as well as the XBOX for which it was originally written. FANTASTIC media center front end.... Advokit
Wouldnt bother with OSX86 for Media Centre Machine. I run Windows XP at home with MediaPortal RC2 which is Fantastic, works with Microsoft Remote and Support High Definition. Dont bother with the XP MCE it is rubbish. Hope this helps.
