I just installed Silverlight 2.0 for Mac OS; seems to work fine on my Hack (10.5.4, Vanilla 9.4.0 kernel, EFI V8), I believe what is happening to the OP is that the control for detecting which version to install is detecting his machine as a PPC. I would check in System Profiler and make sure the SMBIOS isn't somehow reporting a PPC processor vs. an Intel. Barring that, i'd look for a downloadable version of Silverlight vs. relying on the automatic detection on the installer page. If you'd like, I could email you the installer but beware, it would be a 6.7MB attachment. PM me your email addy if you need it, though.

EDIT: By the way, my Silverlight plugin version (Firefox) is 2.0.30523.9 after installing the plugin

I got it to work. I was having the same problem and couldn't get it to install. What I did is, I modified the install script so it always returns a 0, which indicates no problems and it should install. If you want to do it on your own, copy the contents file out of the package, then modify the InstallationCheck script and where ever you see 96+6 or whatever it is, change it to a 0. Save then make a new folder, put the contents folder into the new folder, then rename it to Silverlight.2.0.pkg. And there ya go.

Thanks a lot critic81! Did exactly what you said and it works great!!!

Also about the powerpc part, I wasn't sure if my hackintosh was a powerpc or and Intel because the installer keep telling me that it was a powerpc. Also nothing in the system profiler list anything to do with intel, so I just assumed it was. I'm still not sure what it is, but I attached what my hardware is in the system profiler.

Just curious, on the "About This Mac" screen, what does it list for Processor?

Oh man, I wish I had seen this during the Olympics. I had to go back to Vista just to watch. Oh well, this comes just in time for Netflix. Thanks critic81 !
