Hi, i have the hp 6720s notebook too, i tried to install drivers for x1300 video card but without success..i think that the problem is this device which has device id 0x2a12, but it seems that most of users who have the x3100 with device id 0x2a02 have installed the drivers successfully with qe & ci enabled too..

You should try to install the leopard graphics update 1 which can be download from apple.com..i tried to install it but i get error "codec overrun" when i try to launch the dmg file..

i hope that there will be a solution for install the drivers for all models of the x3100..

hi everyone ;)

if you installed the x3100 kext from your install dvd, there is only 1 thing you have to install to get QE/CI

it is called the Apple Leopard Graphics Update. it is available: HERE

just run it then reboot and enjoy ur Graphics card :)

i am currently running an x3100 in my HacBook and have full graphics/hardware acceleration :D

your device id is 0x2a12 or 0x2a02?

i don't know why when i try to launch the dmg of graphic update i get error "codec overrun"..have you downloaded graphic update from osx or from another os? i have downloaded it from another pc because i have not yet internet connection on osx and transferred it in osx through a pendrive..it is possible that transferring it through the pendrive it has been damaged?

2a02, and try the attatched KEXTs ViA KextHelper

If you don't remember your password, maybe you didn't set one. Try leaving it blank.

Alternatively, if you have set a password, but don't remember it, try adding a new user and setting them a password, then switching to the new user.

passwd: Unable to set extended node credentials for /Local/Default. Authentication failed.

:D

I'm sorry but why get involved in something and have no knowledge what so ever about it? You posted about 5 topics on how to open a .exe in OSX... Are you kidding me

GOOGLE KID GOOGLE, You should of researched your hardware before you even popped that DVD into your drive.
