domino
It seams you installed OS X in some way to not allow it to be the primary boot partition. Therefore, xloader it will only boot to the default assigned primary boot partition, which is Windows. You will have to go as far back as Sept. to be able to find your answers. Either boot from a Linux bootable CD or run a software in Windows or OS X to be able to modify your primary partition and set the OS X as the primary boot partition. You might want to sys prefs in OS X, and use the Startup Disk option and choose your OS X install. On a side note, you have to make a primary partition and install OS X on it. So you have both Windows and OS X installed on it's own primary partition. When you install OS X, it will assign it's own primary partition as the bootable partition. When I posted about removing the Timeout key and it's string, it will boot to the OS assigned as the primary boot partition without the boot loader option. Btw, the windows chain0 option was an old option that needed to be done back in the days. I don't5 think it should be an option now unless it is absolutely necessary. XanthraX
You certanly not need the Acronis boot loader. In OSX you can configure what partition to be default System Preferences -> Startup Disk and you can choose between MacHdd (or what name you gave to your MacOSX partition) and Windows or other (what OSX recognizes the XP partition). I choose my MacHdd, because I kept the Darwin bootloader first and I set the Windows bootloader time to 0. You can edit the com apple.Boot.plist to give the time delay (see the Wiki of this site). I gave it 10 seconds. In Windows you can edit the Boot.ini file in your C:\ drive to have or not a delay time (this only if you have the chain0 file in your C:\ drive). In this way, you can choose between Darwin or Windows bootloader. Hoping you understand my poor English. Enjoy!
