Mac the bob
Hey guys I've installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 install on my HP NC6400 and nearly everything worked out of the box. The main issue I have is that the battery only lasts about 15minutes. The battery is not knackered because it works in my work laptop using windows for about 3 hours. I have the battery indicator showing in the top and the percentage/time show, but when it shows 1:30 it's more like 1 minute 30seconds than an hour and a half. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? Bob

Mac the bob
I've tried a few battery fixes but can't remember if I've tried that one. Most of the other battery fixes just get rid of my battery indicator and my power saving settings. The machine actually dies when it gets to zero. The strange thing is that I ran the full install on battery with the CD drive constantly running and it lasted fine for half an hour of install then when I got into Leopard it just started dying. This suggests that the battery is ok and it's the operating system that's killing it. I'll have a go with that battery fix, although unless it's dramatically different from the others I don't hold out much hope.
