urlan
I've managed to successfully install Kalyway 10.5.2 with no problems at all, however, I cannot seem to find a way to boot into Vista now. I have OS X and Vista x64 (previously) installed on different hard drives. Darwin bootloader shows only the hdd with OS X. When I boot from the hdd with Vista, I get a boot disk failure which requires me to insert my vista dvd but I cannot seem to repair my Vista install since it doesn't seem to be recognised as an installed operating system. Any ideas? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119800-cant-boot-to-vista/ Share on other sites
Rillipiru
I have dual boot too (Vista x64 another drive and Osx on another drive), but no boot loaders...Just F12 and choose which device to boot from...very simple. urlan
The problem is that when I boot using F12, I get a disk boot failure error. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119800-cant-boot-to-vista/#findComment-848891 Share on other sites
Suzie's Soliloquy
You've somehow uninstalled your Vista Bootloader... Try running disk repair from the (Vista) install DVD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119800-cant-boot-to-vista/#findComment-849617 Share on other sites
dmanrevived
When my Vista install disc couldn't find a Vista install on my drive, it was because another partition on the disc took over as the boot partition for that drive. I used GParted to simply check the "boot" box for that partition. Maybe it's a similar problem. There's a good tutorial here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=39253 Also, you might want to try easyBCD (for Vista) or Chameleon EFI bootloader (for your osx partition) to manage your boot options. Best of luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119800-cant-boot-to-vista/#findComment-850904 Share on other sites
