gizmoarena Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 Is the anyone who actually successfully can change the mac address of the NIC? (I am talking about the ethernet LAN card of course). I know this topic has been discussed hundreds times before, and I know the 2 most common methods ... method 1: sudo ifconfig en0 lladdr [new MAC] method 2: a long scripting method. None of them worked for me. I am using 10.5.4 Is there any other effective way? Or is there any way to change it? My internet connection comes with only one registered mac address, I am allowed to use it on my other computers - one at a time, legally. My PC is already registered, so I need to use it on my notebook.
