bellamire
Alright so it took me 2 whole days to download IATKOS torrent. I finally went to install it but as far as i can get to is the grey apple logo screen. It just sits there and there's (what looks like) a progress circle thing that keeps spinning. It stays like that for hours! I tried everything...i tried booting it with the -v, and cpus=1 commands, set my BIOS to boot on the cd drive first...nothing is working. I get a firewire error with the -v command. And that just sits there too. I'm using an AMD 64 athlonx2 processor. It's a Dell inspiron1521 (dont know if thats helpful). If anyone can tell me if the have any suggestions, if you need any kind of info about my computer let me know. Or at least someone tell me if it's impossible for me to get this to work..... thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119565-help-with-iatkosv10r2/ Share on other sites

bellamire
Yes i did see that, but on the first page someone left a comment asking if it would work for AMD and someone said it would but you had to choose SSE2/SSE3 instead of EFI...but i guess they were wrong lol.....if anyone has a suggestion for what i could use that would work for AMD please let me know. Snow Leopard
Did you try the Kalyway one, search up Sumyungai's posts, he puts in there how to do it he has an amd processor most of what he did is for an acer, but he got all working on his... I used Leo4all as the itakos one would not quit shutting down on me and I have an intel processor. Suprjacob
(Why did you download such an old version for? (irrelevant)) I think all the iAtkos releases are only for Intel. I would suggest getting the latest Kalyway release. Oh, and remove that torrent link. bellamire
I downloaded that because at the time i was a complete noob and i really didnt know what i was doing lol i thought that one thing would install it on all computers or something. I honestly never knew that my processor even mattered. I'm downloading kalyway now. And yes i was just coming to remove that link becausei just read the Newbies sticky that said this site doesnt encourage the use of torrents. Sorry. Thanks so much for your reply.
