Ok i searched a little bit and couldnt find anything about this! But everytime happens the same for me!

So i have a 160gb hdd, empty formated, Load Gparted live cd, make 4 fat32 partitions. Perfect! (Windows, Linux, Leopard, Storage)

Install Windows XP, perfect.........Then installed leopard, perfect.....i left linux for another time......but then for X reason y wanted to install Vista on the other partition and I CANT it says "This drive doesnt have a valid (or compatible?) partition bla bla"

Same thing goes for xP! The only way to install again XP on that Harddrive is deleting all partitions and remaking all over again!

Do anyone knows anything about this?!

Thanks

Vista only has support for installing in NTFS, so it won't do Fat32, but XP in theory should.

One thing I've noticed, however, is that XP is fussy about it's Fat32s, they all seem to need to be created by Windows rather than OS X or Gparted to install on

Ive seen this happen on my friends computer when he tried to install vista and OS X on his comp. I would partition the hdd using the vista dvd then use you OSX dvd to format your mac partition to HFS+
