manamana
Hi there, I'd love to install OSX on my machine, but there's a problem: ANY image of Leopard (no matter if I try Kalyways, Leo4All, ..) doesn't handle my USB chipset right. At boot, my BIOS recognises my USB mouse and keyboard for example. It works until the DVD boots. From now on USB is dead. Sometimes at least the mouse randomly works (not very often), keyboard doesn't. I was able to install Leopard using PS/2 kb and mouse, but it sucks since USB doesn't work after installation is complete too. USB sticks etc. don't work. In 10.4.8 JaS keyboard and mouse worked, at least. But I couldn't get my vga working here. Everything except USB works perfectly!! Booting with -x and other flags didn't help. My specs: Asus K8V SE Deluxe VIA K8T800 Chipset Athlon64 3000+, SSE2 NVidia 7600GS, AGP, works in Leopard Using Apple keyboard and Microsoft mouse. Ideas? Please help me! Gujal
As you are on VIA Chipset, you probably need thestevo's 4.5 patch. Have a look at his thread Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119109-usb-problems/#findComment-843929 Share on other sites
