dublove
Well yes it seems that the iMac downstairs has one. Latest updates etc. If you go on to google and search for something, then click one of the links then it goes mental. I can see all these addresses flash up in the address bar then it final settles on some random advertising page. If I click back then it does not go back to google but rather this whole random address cycle again. Any ideas anyone? Lapinx
I experience the same madness: addresses flashing up in the address bar, etc. When I click back a few times, it stops at "google.uk". This bug started today. To repair, I tried OnyX, I tried MacScan... without any change. I don't have any idea of what is going on. Halligalli
Which DNS-servers are you using? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119069-safari-bugtrojanvirus-yes-i-appear-to-have-one/#findComment-851495 Share on other sites
Software Updater
It doesn't appear to be the DNS hole, rather an issue with something else. Do you have a windows computer? If so try going to Google on that and see what happens. I knew this would happen, ever since the information regarding the DNS hole was released that will be the first thing everyone blames. Lapinx
I Find out! There is some Trojan Horse, yes... on a Mac! It redirects and show you a false Google page. I noticed there was no "olympic logo" on the Google page. The page is a "cloned" page. Look for a "plugins.settings" document on first level Library, internet Plug-ins folder. Trash it! There is some Terminal job too. Go read this MacWorld article: Detect and remove the Trojan Horse Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119069-safari-bugtrojanvirus-yes-i-appear-to-have-one/#findComment-864913 Share on other sites
