Well I just finish summer school and now have some free time on my hand. I have a Dell m1330 and really interested in installing Leopard on it. Before I dive into this I just want to hear some feedback. Couple of questions for you guys.

1.Was it all worth it? I heard of many incompatibility issues such as drivers, booting, etc...

2.Is it faster in performance-wise than let say XP.

3.Is Leopard you primary OS now beside showing it off to you friends so they can envy you.

4.Is Kalyway the best route to take? I also see

Mac OSX86 - iATKOS v4i (Leopard 10.5.4 DVD)

Default Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 [OSx86 DVD5 Edition for PCs!]

Zephyroth AMD 10.5.2 Rev.2 OS X on PC- hackintosh!

iATKOS Leopard 10.5.1 with efi kernel (2.14GB)

Leo4all ver. 2 OS X on PC - hackintosh

edit. forgot to put my config

I don't have a laptop so my remarks pertain to a desktop.

1. Yes. I installed OSX on two different boards. For the older build there were a lot of options available. For my new board there were problems getting it running but it was still worth it in the end.

2. Not really but I wasn't looking for speed vs the XP setup. I was looking to do things that I find more difficult in XP. For example, I can made photo or movie DVDs much easier in OSX than XP .... and they are more professional looking without the steep curve required in XP.

3. No. I work a lot in OSX 'cause I like the look and feel of it better but it's lagging behind in other areas. I have a dual boot system and use both on a regular basis.

4. For my previous setup I use Leo4All ... it gave me the best results. For the new build I was more successful with Kalyway. I did try iAtkos on the new build but went back to Kayway (I did numerous installs. :( )

BTW ... after using OSX I liked it so much that I went out and bought my wife an iMac; however, I'll stick with my builds ... I find them much faster.
