Excited as i have just order what should be a very compatible system, after no success with my AMD PC.

Chip : Intel Celeron D 326 2.53Ghz

MB : Asus P5LD2-VM

2GB 667 DDR2

My question is just to put me at ease, has anyone this chip, i believe it has SSE3, NX but couldn't clarify its PAE support, anyone know?

i have a 331 its the 2.66 version it works just fine, sse3/nx-bit/64bit

i overclocked it to 3.7GHz, note celeron D is very slow normal but mine matches a Pentium 4 640-650 3.2/3.4

I have a Asus P5GL-MX, sound works 2.1 tested,5.1 to test later, LAN works, SATA works, GMA900 with CI+QE works, boots 10.4.3 in 15 seconds, waiting on 10.4.4/5 downloading.

Oh oh, front audio works, all usb work front and back, sound in works via sound card or usb web cam. Mighty mouse and pro keyboard are a god send.

So what do reckon i could overclock this to?

One other question, to anyone with Asus P5LD2-VM, some sites say it has a GMA900 vga in, but others say 950, which is it?

3.2 GHz to be safe. any higher your on your own. just up the buss to 166 form 133 and that gets you 3.2 GHz any celeron D sould handle this no bother will be equal to about a Pentium 4 2.6 at that speed. not much but imagin what 2.5 GHz is equal to.

I was just confused because ASUS website says http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=...536&modelmenu=1 , where i ordered it from says GMA950 and some reviews on the web say GMA900. Cheers for confirmation, cos was getting worried i had order the wrong thing.

Will have a go at overclocking, more used to AMD, but stability is the key here, and i intend on getting something tastier soon, ie dual core. as it supports it.
