When I downloaded and installed the deadmoo variant of Tiger-x86, I was pretty surprised it worked at all. I'm not all that computer literate. My current system runs an Athlon XP cpu so I unboxed an old HP p4 e-PC that had been left unused in my basement for the last 10 months to see what could be seen of OS X. It was slow, some programs wouldn't run, others would just hang, but hey, it was just for fun... to check out OS X. (I hadn't sat down at a Mac since 1986.... Mac Plus) It was sure beautiful but nothing more than a curiosity.

I stumbled onto MAXXUSS 0.4 version update, I honestly didn't expect it to do much of anything... maybe get another program or two to launch but not much beyond that. Wow! WOW!!!! Now OS X is fast, extremely stable, and everything seems to work perfectly... as far as I know.

I've purchased a KVM and slipped the e-PC in right beside my main PC. I haven't booted the Windows PC for days! It works THAT good. No doubt Apple will figure a way to sideline all us bootleggers so when that happens, I'm shelling out for a real Mac! I swear this was Jobs' plan all along; get PC users totally addicted so they're OBLIGATED to make the switch!

You know what?, I completely agree with you. I never in my wildest dream would have figured that Tiger would be this stable on my PC. I dual boot with XP and I haven't booted into XP ever since I got my network card and TI4200 working. I now stream with iTune 27/7 for the part 7 days! I can't post enough how wonderfull this OS is. I never would admit I was a MS fanboy. But hell, if you call me a Mac fanboy, I would agree with you.

I can't wait to buy the real thing. If Mac wanted to take over the PC market, all they have to do is sell the CD.

Hi, first post for me,

just installed OS X 10.4.3 on my pc (1.8ghz p4, 512mb ram, ati 9600 256mb gfx, ac97 audio).

I have no SSE2, trying to find non-sse3 Maxxuss patch, found a torrent but it's taking a really long time! Any chance of someone giving me a direct download link (if it still exists)?
