I got a GeForce 7200 GS 512MB (256 on board ram) for 39 dollars. i'd say get that card instead and it would be "cheaper" you could also get a CoolMaster Elite case with 550 watt psu for 49.00 so right there you knock off 70 dollars. also... at newegg you can get a SATA dvd burner (or IDE) for 20 bucks. as well as 2 gigs of ram for 24 dollars. we also got a gigabyte OEM board, may be the same one or close and it was 49 bucks... total was around 377 bucks for a E5500 / 4gb ram / 160 HD / dvdr / geforce 7200 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118550-cheapest-hackintosh-1048-or-1052/#findComment-840217 Share on other sites
juragan
Cool... BTW, i forgot to mention that I throw out the original PSU that come with that casing. I'm using the ACBel for the sake of power stability. The cost is included with that casing. I should done a little more research on the market price to go down to $400. Anyone else have a cheapest build ? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118550-cheapest-hackintosh-1048-or-1052/#findComment-840772 Share on other sites
