mschilling
The install dvd runs normally, but when I boot the installed system I get a scrambled screen and no desktop after it almost completely boots up. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks. mschilling
I'm going to try Kaly 10.5.2 and wondering if I should choose one of the video drivers, and if so, which one? mschilling
I can't fully boot, so no software updater, then do I use pacifist, or the downloaded updater? mrroboto
Internal LCD doesn't work in Vaio laptops. Only external monitor works with the inject. this is a common and well known vaio issue. MrLarryLarry
I have a Vaio VGN-NR220E, the specs are VERY similar to the VGN-NR460DT and I had the same issue. I got the display working by following this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry768387 I used Kalyway 10.5.2 and checked the x3100 kexts on install and if I did exactly that I would get a garbled screen BUT I could see enough to follow the instructions from the thread I linked to and I got it working. I've heard you can also attach an external monitor if you're getting nothing usable out of the internal LCD - that way you can use the kexts included in the thread I linked to and then hopefully get it working on your laptop's display. mschilling
I had a look thru that install and I'm wondering if I can do it using my main mac by plugging in the bootable usb hdd. Then I would boot off the usb hdd plugged into the Sony. Or do I have to boot off the Sony using an external monitor to do the updates to the kexts?
