bgrau
Hi dudes... I installed over 10.4.3 8f1111 using MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso on vwmare 5.5.1. It used to show that the processor had sse3 capability (which it has, its ht pentium 4 3GHZ), but after install and patching maxxuss_patch_solution_v1.0a_1045-secupd2006-001, it now shows that it supports only up to sse2! Any ideas why, and how to get the sse3 recognised after the install? Help appreciated Billy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11740-lost-sse3-on-osx86-1045-patch/ Share on other sites
labria
U have to take the original kernel (its included in the pack) and apply the patches yourself, then replace the kernel. bgrau
U have to take the original kernel (its included in the pack) and apply the patches yourself, then replace the kernel. I tried all kinds of patching (using latest) and it still identifies the processor, but not with sse3. (in 10.4.3 it was identifying sse3)... I think I will stick with sse2... pet1
Was under the impression it was only cosmetic. Which is it. Is sse3 supported but not listed or does it have to be repatched? bgrau
Maybe cosmetic, but it showed up (sse3) on 10.4.1 and 10.4.3 The performance is about the same though so maybe its cosmetic...
