Finally got iAtkos v4i installed, Couple of questions

Hi, I finally got iAtkos v4i installed and working but need to ask a couple of things....

1. When the software updates showed up there was one titled "iLife Support 8.3", just wanted to know if it's safe to install on this release?
   
2. When my OS-X starts up I get this message :
    
   
    
   Even though when I look at the properties in my "About this Mac", the video card sections shows this :
    
   
    
   Any idea or links to gimme a clue how to fix this?
   
3. Where is iMovie? Is it included in a separate product/pack or should it be in the default OS-X 10.5.4 install?

For the NVInjectGo.kext, if your not on a laptop just find the kext in /System/Library/Extensions in delete it.

If your are on a laptop, try this...

 

1) Open terminal in the utilities folder of your applications.

2) Type in (without quotes) “sudo –s”

3) Give password when prompted

4) Type in “sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions”

5) Type in “sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions”

6) Type in “sudo kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions”

7) Exit Terminal

8) Go to Disk Utility in the utilities folder.

9) Choose your primary partition, and press “Repair Disk Permissions”

10) After Finished, Reboot.

 

 

For the graphics as long as QE/CI is working (which it is) and you can change resolution the graphics is fine, it doesnt have to say "GeForce 8600GT" to be working.

 

iLife is not on iATKOS, any other OSx86 distro, or even the leopard retail dvd. You have to buy iLife to install it.

Thanks for the reply, I got iLife and installed it, once I updated it all (the features wouldn't run until I did) it all works fine now. Still getting the error message shown above, if I wanted to use GFX strings (I have dual 8800GTs and want to try the SLI trick) will I have to do anything first, apart from deleting that kext you listed, before doing the string setup?

 

P.S. I assume the QE/CI your referring to is Quartz Extreme/Core Image? Which as you say, appear to be working as they are both listed above.

You pretty much got it down, the NVInjectGo is a driver for nvidia mobile graphics cards so you can delete it without ramifications (I would back it up just incase). And yes, QE/CI means Quartz Extreme/Core Image, sorry for not explaining that XD
