EgoDeath Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 I bought a brand new NetGear WG511T ('108Mbps' Wireless PC Card) for £20 today. Now i am Sure my pcmcia slot isnt working (this card is on the wiki for 10.4.5 fully working out-of-the-box) So i look and i see my IOPCCard faild to start.. any ideas? i can provide screenshots or a small vid of bootup in verbose mode if needed. thrunner Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Only a few Texas Instrument PCcard chipsets are supported by OSX and most likely that no PCcard will work under OSX for your Acer. Look into the Wiki and HCL for the list of Hardware Compatibility List (HCL). If you are trying for a wireless NIC solution, try USB or miniPCI.
