I'm trying to install Leopard 10.5.4 with iAtkos 4i on my HP Pavilion dv6700, but every time I try to install it, the installer gets stuck at the very last part of the installation. krrr Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 does the system goes into freeze along with mouse/keyboard? i suggest you keep moving your mouse during the installation if you havent tried that. However I'm getting the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" error when I try to boot into Leopard. Right above it are five lines in yellow: "Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort." "Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort." Everything is going alright, until my PC totally freezes (mouse/keyboard also) at about 75% of the installation. I've tried to keep my mouse moving along the installation, but it keeps freezing. @Markm941: I should keep trying to install, and it "works" then? (I hope without the errors you get) More people with this problem?
