Well that was interesting, after about 15 frozen installations, it just worked! However I'm getting the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" error when I try to boot into Leopard. Right above it are five lines in yellow:

 

"Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort."

"Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort."

"Couldn't alloc class 'AppleICH8AHCI'"

"Couldn't alloc class 'AppleAHCI'"

"Debug driver registered: AppleUSBUCHI"

I have the same problem here. Everything is going alright, until my PC totally freezes (mouse/keyboard also) at about 75% of the installation. I've tried to keep my mouse moving along the installation, but it keeps freezing.

 

@Markm941: I should keep trying to install, and it "works" then? (I hope without the errors you get)

Trying to install iatkos5i on Dell Dimension4700 with 1.57 GB of ram . it boots from the dvd and i formatted as Mac OS Journled (Extended) and then changed the boot stuff to MBR instead of guid and tried to complete the installation. about 3 mins into the actual install the bar freezes and there is no cd activity so i restart and try again soo far i have tried about 20 times still no luck i have been told to format and select GUid and give it ago i will comment after i have tried that PLEASE HELP cheers
