Well, I got one of those fancy white MacBooks to fix, because its previous owner didn't removed his username and password. Well, just slip the repair DVD in, hold C, wait one minute(Yeah, so much faster than iATKOS or ToH  )

and I was at the Installer screen, resetted its password, made a username called "User", and rebooted.

That thing is really fast. It boots SO MUCH faster than my iATKOS lappy here :D But on Xbench it can't get my mighty Tiger-no-EFI-emulation-possible-due-to-FSB-recognition-issue-even-on-Chameleon-overclocked-AMD-Sempron Hack! It, however, wins from my Intel Celeron M 440 candidate-2-real-Mac lappy.

Oh, BTW, I am updating it so I can charge the guy because I will have to spend all night updating it, since it's still 10.5.2.

It also has a annoying battery time calculation issue, but his battery lasts for about 5 hours! ;)

BTW(again), I ioreg-dump'd it and lspci-dump'd it, so you know when getting a new HackBook! Includes .ioreg file for viewing with IORegistryExplorer. Also the guy forgot to take the remote(He's really noob :) ), and asked me to install XP so he can sell it with dual-boot. Forgot to mention, includes System Profiler dump, in RTF format. Enjoy! ;)

My next project is throw off my poor Hackbook Acer and sold it to someone to buy a MacBook. I'm here because I had a passionnate love for Apple products. I work for a while for a compagny who own some Applestore. MB is awesome laptops!!! I was lucky when the MB Air was released and I saw it before everybody. And how you find to work a bit with this Mac? heheh cool

I had to return the MacBook back to the guy :'( I'm so sad, I'd like to remove all RAM modules(It came with the instruction manual, and it explained how to swap RAM) so he'll come back and I would say that it had a supposed "general system fault" and that I had to stay with it for a month because "I have no replacement parts". :thumbsup_anim:

The hardware is: A Intel Core 2 Duo T-series processor, Intel GL960/ICH8 with built-in GMA X3100 with 144 MB of shared VRAM, the ICH8's SATA controller is in AHCI mode, it also has a Marvell Yukon 88E8058 Gigabit LAN, a Broadcom BCM4328 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi card aka "AirPort Extreme™", and Realtek ALC885 audio, with one line out, stereo internal speakers, one line in, one internal mic(next to the built-in iSight), a S/PDIF input inside a combo jack with the line in, and a S/PDIF output inside a combo jack with the line out. I don't have a 3.5 mm optical cable so I can't test it, but judging by the appearance of the jack(and the icon on the Realtek audio utility in Window$) it looks like it's a coaxial cable. However my laptop has a combo jack with a(optical!) S/PDIF out and line out. No S/PDIF in, though. Nice computer, and there's a nice thing, too: If you want to check your battery level without turning on the computer, just press a button on the battery. According to your battery capacity, up to 5 LEDs will come up on the battery. The bad thing, however: Only 2 USB ports, compared to my lappy's 3. If Apple did realize that everyone needs a few USB ports, since everything today uses USB, and that they included a ExpressCard slot on them, well, then I should look after them. My lappy has a ExpressCard/54 slot, way better than the MacBook Pro's 34 mm slot. I loved it though. Strange.

Prank Jobs to see if he remembers Woz. If not, then...

Woz has stated several times (including once down in NYC when I went to the AMNH to listen to him speak) that he and Steve Jobs are still good friends and chat regularly; and that they usually don't see eye to eye but their 'arguments' are more good-natured jabs at one another than anything mean. (and Jobs has even been known to ask for Woz's advice from time to time, I believe that although Woz isn't a formal Apple employee, he is still a shareholder AND also recieves an Apple paycheck)
