I got it to work. I modified the install script so it always returns a 0, which indicates no problems and it should install. If you want to do it on your own, copy the contents file out of the package, then modify the InstallationCheck script and where ever you see 96+16, change it to a 0. Save then make a new folder, put the Contents folder into the new folder, then rename the new folder to Silverlight.2.0.pkg. And there ya go.

Here I modified it for you guys and its ready to go. Just unzip then run the package. Put credit to critic81 :D Just replace the "xx" with "tt"

Also if your using this for the rest of the olympics on nbcolympics.com, use firefox OS X. Safari wasn't running the site right for video.

thanks a bunch tinfoil.... this worked great for me! I cant believe it works so well too!

now; if I could just figure out how to update 10.5.1 to 10.5.5 :D

Hey guys. I was trying to use this to try out the Netflix streaming recently made available to Macs and it required a more recent version of Silverlight. I took the InstallationCheck from TinFoil's modified package and inserted it into the new installer package. It installed on my "Power PC" Hackintosh :) and Silverlight worked fine on Safari. I didn't test it on Firefox but I'm guessing it will work as well.

The installer package is zipped. Replace the xx with tt.

TinFoil, if you make an updated version, let me know and I can take mine down.

The pacifist route does *not* work for everybody unfortunately

I have taken some time to create a latest version of Hackintosh ready Silverlight 2 GDR 1 v2.0.40115.0

Hackintosh ready Silverlight 2 GDR 1 v2.0.40115.0

Enjoy!

Thanks for taking the time to work on this problem! Wanted to inform, though, that this did not work for me. A minute or so after installing, a dialog box indicated to me that this version of Silverlight had expired and would no longer function. Thought I'd let anyone know that runs across this thread.
