digicide Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 So I had a perfect installation of osx, but i tried a different ps2controller kext. Previously i had removed the usb kext so that ps2 would work. the ps2 kext didn't work, so i used macdrive for windows to restore the previous kext, but of course i forgot to think about permissions. now it boots into osx, but i have no mouse or keyboard and usb won't work either. if i had a way to set the correct permissions back to that ps2controller, it'd work! any way i can do this from windows or outside of os x somehow? labria Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 Try booting the install DVD and fix the permissions from the disk utility. Worked for me when i messed up my install once. digicide Posted March 10, 2006 Author Share Posted March 10, 2006 thanks for the idea, but i've got a v2000 with the ati x200 mobile (or whatever) hard drive controller, so the install DVD's don't work for me, they give the 'waiting for root device' error.
