Mobile_Ram
OK , I have downloaded leo4allv2 , iatkosv1.0ir2, & kalaway ??. I have them on 3 computers and have burned them with 3 different burners, and used 2 different burner programs ( Active ISO Burner) & (sonic mediacreator), both I have tried many times at x4,x2,x1 speeds. **They all give me the same results*** (a) Laptop : HP Dv 9225 (AMD dual 2.1ghz) Nvidia video. Nforce hardware, Sata hd,dvd. (2gb mem, 120 gb hd) Result : It boots to the F8 screen and no matter weather I hit enter, or -v or -v -f or -v -f -s, it does the same thing, the screen goes blank and the computer restarts. Vista is installed now and its fine, and I have burned iso of vista and it boots fine too. OHHHH= it says cant find file /librabry/something/somthing. then restarts. ( Laptop : Compaq Presario CL3017 (Intel 2.8 ghz) sis video (64mb), 1g mem, 60 gig hd , ide hd,cd. Results : it boots to f8 screen and again no matter the choices I make like above it goes through the listing screen(goes further then above), but after listing info for about 30 secs, it restart to the begining. (3) Desktop : HOMEBREW (amd dual 2.2 ghz) Nvidia 8800 gt, nforce board chips, biultin video(unused). SATA everything. But i installed a 80 gig IDE drive to use for MACOS, and I unhook the sata drive with winxp/vista on it. results : goes thru screen listing info then stops at waiting on root device. Ive tried all the disks made multiple ways on multiple computers using multiple OS and Multiple Burning programs, on each computer with absolutly no sucsess.... So now im figuring, that maybe, im not suppose to download the ISO only! then Burn the ISO only!, maybe their was another step??? Any help would be nice, especially since ive seen the info on this site about my HP laptop showing it should work like a charm. Is their a special setting to use on the burning, maybe im missing. I burn OS disks at x1 & x2 for years. Or maybe iM THE only UNFORTUANATE sap out thier with many computers and ALL are not compatible. Mobile_Ram
Ok - dont listen to this post, im just loosing my mind. Ive read all of the posts and stuff, checked everything. and just cant get anywhwere at all. I do remember linux being this difficult for weeks until i learned ACPI=off and NOAPIC which i must do with ANY version of linux on every computer i own. (Does this info help on my install problem)? ****Excuse my verbal ramble below***** I give up, i dont beleive anyone has got it to work. Theirs no way I have 3 different computers, and burned most all versions of the Mac ISO's. and iv'e used every code at boot screen, and not one computer (intel or amd) has even tried to complete the boot-up. Im not a noob, i biuld and program computers , but yes i am new to installing Mac on a PC. But their is no way not one install has come close to doing anything. Every install description and/or youtube video of the install shows you just burn the iso(low speed) and place it in and BOOM it starts the install. screw it, ill just buy a used mac , if i dont like it -then ill sell it. if your curiuos of the issue at hand click here. to see my post in detail: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry819583 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115704-not-a-noob-but-cant-make-good-dvdiso-i-think/#findComment-819583 Share on other sites
Hagar
Really sad when people can't make use of the information provided to them. The EMO fit when it fails to "just work" is a perennial occurrence.. Allow me to recommend linux.
