I just installed Kalyway. Installation went without any problem but when I tried to reboot it without disk, I can't. My hack boots system from Hard drive but only when I insert dvd. I heard that there are a script that I can you use to solve this booting problem but I didn't find it yet. Any suggestion, please?

Install boot loader from OSx86 Tools or darwin boot loader from iATKOS install disk. After that also try this:

boot with flag -s

At command prompt use these commands

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (specify your disk number where leopard is installed)

flag <partition number>

write

update

quit

reboot

This might solve your problem. :)

I had similar problem. It was caused by partition names with spaces - example - MAC SYSTEM and MAC DATA. Partitions should have one word name – do not use spaces. I have reinstalled system creating partitions: MAC and DATA. In my case it solved the problem of DVD boot.

Thanks! Chamelion efi solved my problem. I can boot it without installation CD.

Can you also boot it without EFI bootcd?

I want to make my computer easier to boot, than having to start from a cd all the time. Is this possible?

At the moment I have the choice of booting OS X with installation DVD or bootloader cd, but I don't want to use either. Please help!
