Because there was not available a working rt2500 usb driver for 10.4.4 on ralinktech's website, I wrote to them, and asked for one. So they sent it to me.

A couple of guys from this forum tested it, and it worked fine for them too, so I decided to post it.

/ a readme file also included/

Feedback is appreciated!

Your problem is not the driver, but the IONetworkingFamily.kext.Try to use the one from 10.4.3 for example.

Thanks for reply,

I am using 10.4.3 If I get info on IONetworkingFamily.kext it says v.1.5.0

Perhaps I have version of the Belkin F5D7050 that does not work ?

How can I tell if it is v3000 that is supposed not to work.

My IONetworkingFamily is the same.v.1.5.0.

So I think you dont have the Belkin which works.

Yes I am afraid so,tryed io from 10.4.4 with the same result.

Perhaps I should just try to find the gigabyte gn-wbkg usb stick :P

Update:

Gave up on the Belkin and bought Asus wl-167g, verifyed the info list to see that the id's where there. Pluged it in and it worked out of the box with this driver.

Thanks tush.
