atka
Ok I managed to change the apple logo on boot to a pear and a apple with two bites taken out (half mirrored image) I didn't draw the pear so I am waiting for a reply from the author but here is the two bite apple boot file. Short instructions move your boot file (hidden) some place and then replace it with this one reboot and you should see a apple with two bites. If boot fails boot with your CD and move the original file back, if this is done in Finder all the permissions should be kept. More to come later if there is interest. boot.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114750-changed-leopard-boot-screen/ Share on other sites

eberts
Interesting. Do you think it is possible to modify the graphics.c to get other vesa modes at boot time (1440x900x32 e.g)? That would be really useful cause it possibly speed up boot (at least for the monitor without having to switch resolution/refresh) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114750-changed-leopard-boot-screen/#findComment-813659 Share on other sites
atka
Not sure I haven't really looked at the source code yet to see what could be done. But it is on my to do list. ☼Monkee»
Can you explain how to do it in detail? I would like to change the apple logo while booting to one of the iPC logos available on their blog. Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114750-changed-leopard-boot-screen/#findComment-1219733 Share on other sites
