Hello,

I've installed OSX Leopard successfuly with LEO4ALL V3 installation disc.

After installation I patched the sound drivers, so that sound is also running well on this notebook.

Now I still stuck in patching or get running the ethernet nic.

Have anyone here around already patched the network drivers for this type of notebook,

or can maybe do someone a patch for me.

Machine: HP NC6320 Notebook

NIC: Broadcom BCM5788

Vendor: 14e4

HW-ID: 169c

If possible it would be nice, if someone have a working IONetworkingFamily.kext for me.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi all,

I just found the solution by myself now... after hours of trying several things.

If you have same notebook like me, just edit this:

/System/Library/Extensions

Open IONetworkingFamily.kext

Go in Contents -> Plugins -> AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext -> Contents

Edit Info.plist

Add here the 14e4:169c

Then you should refresh the permissions and do a reboot.

After reboot you have to set the mac address

And .... ethernet is working well :-)

Good day. I am looking for help with my nc6320. I have tried sereval methods and ways to make work my audio, LAN and WiFi drivers in my laptop. I have noticed that you wrote that you have those 3 things working.

I have iDeneb 10.5.5 installed in my nc6320. Could anyone please, help me to configure those 3 things?

Thanks a lot

What did you do to get sound and wifi working? I have tried the iwi3945.dmg to no avail as well as the kext helper Apple ac97 sound

Hi guys,

I have a problem... I tried this possible solution proposed in this topic, and I have done some good steps, I think.

Of course I have a Broadcom BCM 5788 and it wasn't recognized at all by the system; after the application of the solution in this topic, it happened that now the system sees a Firewire ( I think in place of the ehernet ) and right now the ethernet light is on.

What is it happened? What can I do?

Hi I have a Broadcom 5753M card. So i add the 14e4:16fd information of the card and now it seems the ethernet card is well recognized. But I don't know what to do now, how can i set the mac address to make it fully working so i could surf via it and not my wifi card ?

Thanks in advance for your help
