completing
Is there a way to turn off the laptop display and only use the external display? Thank you

Twitch241
I have some problems with getting dual display to work on Nvidia 8600M GT, screen turns black after Display Detection. I have a Dell Vostro 1500, with iAtkos 5i. If Dual screen is not possible, just external display (TV via VGA cable) would work for me as well. westwaerts
yes there is. plug a mouse to the usb port. close the lid of the laptop and wake the system with the mouse. then only the external screen should be on. ( you can open the lid now for typing) at least thats how it works on my powerbook.
