  1. Alright for some odd reason I want to use the revision 2 of this distro for a virtualbox VM, any suggestions on what setting to use in virtual box? Also what packages should i check during installation(if i get that far)?
  2. I'm trying to make a brushed metal theme for leopard and/or snow leopard. I can't find the original brushed metal files in either the tiger install disc or a tiger install. I used my following google powers to no avail: tiger original files "brushed metal" site:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum tiger original files "brushed metal" Does anyone know what directory the brushed metal photos and/or scripts that generate brushed metal reside?
  3. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I just bought an extra pair of antennas on ebay, I will install 1 and get back to you with photos soon!! I'm not a genius with electronics, but I can tell you that 2415-80mhz is really close to half 5000mhz(5ghz) which would mean that it might be easier to target the 5ghz band because the wavelength is approximately a little less than half the 2.4ghz band. The card does work with 1 antenna but I think it will work better with 2(MIMO), I'll tell you if I notice my signal strength increase. not that it isn't excellent in the first place. but I'll try it outside further or my neighbors house or something. I'm also interested in where to put the antenna. should I try to disassemble the lcd?
  4. Ok, the trackpad tap is actually something that can be (dis/en)abled in the settings pane somewhere in OS X. As for the sleep; well I haven't got that working yet. I think it something to do with DSDT, so hit me up if you figure that out.
  5. I used the one for 10.6 as I haven't updated yet and it's not working for me. I have a Intel DG31PR mobo onboard audio is ALC888 3connectors on back, 2 that i know of for the front panel, and a spdif on the mobo. tried with arch = i386, confirmed it with uname -a dragged and dropped to sys/lib/ext then ran pfix for the correct drive, as I do with any kext. I have another kext that does work, but the spdif and other things are not working. I'm not sure this is for my card in the original leo release of the trauma alc88x drivers there was a kext for alc882_add0 alc882_add2 alc888_add0 alc888_add2 etc. also i never tested the taruga ones when i had regular leo as I just recently found this thread.
  6. Does anyone know where to get these ALC88X drivers; that work for Snow Leopard?
  7. SL KP on boot Intel DG31PR

    im using the vanilla iousbfamily.kext
  8. SL KP on boot Intel DG31PR

I have the newest bios and adding those args to my com.apple.boot.plist made it work for me. I also have chameleon RC3 and the second version of fakesmc
  9. But windows is pretty bad. I just Couldn't resist.
  10. I had a similar problem with Snow Leopard. I have a Temporary fix don't know if it works for tiger, leopard, Airport, or regular macs though. Or if it depends on your ISP. Please post anything better you find in that topic.

  14. My ISP is ATT Uverse, and I am using their 2Wire integrated modem/router. I get a "self assigned ip address problem" for the Ethernet inside of Snow, usually after I boot any of the other OS besides Snow. I can fix this by Booting PartedMagic and run "start network" then reboot. Before I boot Snow Leopard. not sure if the linux distro matters. I have the IntelDG31PR motherboard with the RTL8111 lan; my network settings in Snow are all default "automatic dhcp etc." andI have a triple boot WinXP, PC-BSD.
  15. Do you know if anyone ever got the digital output working?
