no Dock after 10.5.4 update

Hey c_c i tried that but it didn't work. I replaced the Dock and the Finder with the older versions from 10.5.3 and I got background but no dock.

Also, when I try to start an app it just freezes and gives some sort of java related error in the report.

Any one with any big ideas?

im in the same boat haha... the only reason why i updated was to get the iphone sdk and i cant solve this one... this is weird and its putting a massive strain on my CPU because the dock keeps trying to launch in my activity monitor

How did you replace the Dock ?

You'll need to boot into single user mode with -s and then replace the files. Or use the install DVD with terminal.

This worked for me. There is a similar thread at infinitemac. Try going through it if you cant find any solution.
