Hey guys I purchased an athlon 64 3200 CPU cause I was told it has SSE3 instructions from many people but according to the CPU-Z app it says I have SSE2...... is there any chance it could be wrong or something.

Tnx in advance I really want to install osx but only if it runs fast

only Venice revision has SSE3

You may have another revision of the same proccesor model

With the proper patches it'll run fine. Someone put together a patch to emulate the SSE3 instructions, so you wouldn't be missing out on anything, except maybe a small hit in performance... you probably won't know the difference though. Speed is good. Stability should be ok.
