Robbiem
ok so here is my deal, i have a blac X hard drive dock, and up untill a day ago everything was fine. but now when i move data over to it, it stops on a random file, and says that there is an error, that some of the files cannot be read or written, so i formatted the drive, and started to put everything back on it, my music folder that was on it before, all of the sudden has errors, had stopped on jay z, then on bun b, totally different points.. i checked the disk with DU and it seems to bee fine, but just incase, i did a repair, and tried again.. still getting the same problem.. do you guys thing that its just the drive? or what? -Robbie
vaporATX
It's probably the dock. Those things are real garbage. I picked one up from Frys because they were deep discounting them... found out why shortly after when it died three days later. The replacement was better... it lasted 10 days. I didn't bother with a third try.

Hook the drive up to the mobo and make sure it works like that. If it does it's the dock. As far as a suggestion. I like Icy Dock enclosures. Adaptec used to make some real bulletproof enclosures, but I believe they stopped making them. Coolermaster enclosures aren't bad if you want to save some money. They build quality isn't great, but they're cheap and work well.
Robbiem
well its not a hackintosh, its a authentic macbook, hence the hard drive dock so no mobo hooking up, and i dont think its the dock, since i tried my 100 gb maxtor drive, and all the files copy over, but if i use the 120 gb maxtor drive, i get errors.. so i think the drive is bad.. going to try a defrag after i defrag my own internal drive.. (partition problems) ill let you guys know what works or doesnt ok... -Robbie
