The Alchemist
Following are my system specs: MSI P35 Neo-F Kingston 2X1GB 667 MHz RAM Seagate 250 GB SATA HDD LG H44N IDE DVD Writer XFX 8600GT >Downloaded the kalyway 10.5.2. >Flashed my bios with modded 1.7v Bios. >Changed settings in bios as mentioned in THIS thread.( post 154) >Tried "-v", "-v cpus=1", "-F cpus=1" but all in vain I can get past the bootloader and its stuck on "Still waiting for the Root device" thing. I am really pissed at this ...nothing seems to work. What could be the problem? Should i download some other version namely Leo4all or iAtkios .. I am sick of Windows and i really need this to work. The thing that is irritating me most is that others with same mobo have been able to install on a fly with modded bios whereas its succkage for me. Help me please!!! daftdom
Hi Alchemist, I have the same problem with my new MSI P35 Diamond mobo. I too think its something to do with the IDE dvd drive. Did you ever get this working by getting a SATA dvd drive? I have my SATA hdd connected to SATA3 and I did see a few posts about using an external usb drive. I have also tried removing the SATA hdd and using an IDE on the same IDE cable as primary as other posts have suggested but still I have this problem. c0rk007hck
I know your problem, i run on the same board as yours, first i got this error with Kalyway, iAtkos, Leo4all, but finally: i get it work with iDeneb!! Download iDeneb (v1.3 !!) via torrent, burn it. After a while, choose your language, and click next. It only worked when i install all chipsets and kernels. First, i don't choose all the chipset drivers, and after the install, my normal install had that f**k error!! Now, i'm finally typing this message with my iDeneb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113262-unable-to-install-kalyway-1052-on-msi-p35-neo/#findComment-945764 Share on other sites
