Gujal
Just one line is not good enough, there may have been a kernel panic 10 lines earlier. SO you may have to take a pic and post it Also try booting with with -f -v, -x -v and -s -v (three different boots), and see if it proceeds any further Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112619-hanging-on-reboot/#findComment-797147 Share on other sites

Meatstick
OK problem solved I forgot to put the the AMD patch in the install. It worked with the second patch and got past the loading screen with the first test patch but still just hung there if anybody is interested. And i got so freaking lucky the mouse, keyboard, video drivers and network drivers work with my onboard chipset. Now i just gotta figure out why my USB drives aren't working. Anybody care to help? Thanks kalyway and the people who started this whole ordeal you probally wont read this but thanks anyways. Fred Fresh
I've had the same issue for the last 2 days. I read that I forgot an AMD specific command during the install so I'm deleting the hard drive and trying again. Does anyone know the command line to use after pressing F8? I have an AMD X2 5600+. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112619-hanging-on-reboot/#findComment-914358 Share on other sites
