Burn with a newer version of Nero at a slower speed and VERIFY the burn. If possible, boot with another DVD drive (some drives just don't work properly with OSX install). After that, it is still possible the install will hang for other reasons: press F8 and type -v (verbose) or -s (single user) mode and see what is stopping the install process. pigeon20
when i try to boot from it, it gives an error. the error is: "strike f1 to retry, hit f12 to enter setup" hitting retry just gives the same error again. entering setup just takes me to my system bios setup. how do i checksum the md5? i had my friend burn me 10.4.1 a while back with nero and that worked fine. so my dvd-rom is fine. also, how do i "VERIFY" the burn with nero? p.s. i am using the newest version of nero. p.p.s. i never got to the installation part!! dvd wont boot!!!!! help would be appreciated, thanks!!!! macgirl
Just when you are burning the image there is a option box in Nero to verify the compilation/burn. Wenle Z.
i'm getting the image now, let me try... because i remember for the 4.3 patches ISO, it won't read on one DVD rom because it will just keep reading for hours... and another DVD rom works, but slowly with 10 minutes reading time with horrible seeking noise..
