I have tried and tried several times to install Kalyway and Leo4all onto my pc with no success. With Kalyway I can't even install as get the dreaded 'waiting for' error & with Leo4all it is the same problem no matter what method I try with both.

I'm wondering if I have been wasting my time due to my system I have or if there's something I can do that will let me install it. I'm in the belief I need a new mobo and if that's then case then so be it, but would like to know whether or not I do here first.

Mobo - Intel DG965RY

CPU - Intel Quadcore Q6600

Chipset - Intel G965

HDD - Sata 500

RAM - 3gb DDR2

Video - GeForce 8600 GT 512mb

Thank you..:(

looking at the specs looks like you have the Jmicron Controller for IDE Interface support, So if you have a IDE DVD Drive, it wil not boot and you will get a "still waiting for" message

Search for Zef's Chameleon PPF. He has released for both Kalyway 10.5.2 and Leo4allv3 (better support for SATA drives in non AHCI mode). Once you apply the patch to your downloaded ISO image file, burn it and boot it. It should now boot without error

Your Audio and Network, hmm thats another story.....

Thank you Gujal for you reply and my DVD Drive is a Sata one. Is the Zef's Chameleon PPF you mention in relation to the DVD or for something else?

Thank you also to chasingcharlie who PM'd me with some tips, muchly appreciated.

Well I got a step closer today and was actually able to get the Install of Kalyway started but unfortunately it crashed about a quarter of the way in coming up with Install Error.

As there was nothing else as to the reason why am I able to check a log anywhere as to why it crashed and didn't install?
