Paranoid Marvin
Take into consideration the pathfinder watches that are solar chargable. They run forever. There's a big difference between a watch and an artificially intelligent kill-bot. Even if they do invent one, I doubt it would be able to run 'forever'. More like a week in the desert, without maintenance.

JonTheSavage
...which would probably last a week tops in a desert or rainforest by itself. Heck, I bet all it'll take is rain, lots of rain - no chance of it reaching Scotland then They already have choppers that can hit you from 50 miles away with a machine gun. You won't hear, or see them. Big Dog is a tactical field unit, designed to carry heavy loads, and toat 50 cal BMG cannons. You wont' see them. And by the time you hear the shots, they are 100 miles away gone. The only way you could kill something like that is shoot it with a high powered rifle, or ram it with a car, in which case, you would ruin the car.
